  • Theft occurred August 8th, 3:30 a.m. Right outside Samuels Seafood Company
  • Multiple suspects, 4 vehicles were allegedly swiping cartons of canned tuna from parked semi
  • The driver, 63 years old, was asleep in the truck cabin, woken by an alert security guard, which in turn scared off the thieves.

This heist is part of a cargo theft spree. Cargo thefts in the area doubled in the area from 2021 to 2022. As of August 2024, there have been 102 thefts reported.
