The AI is already being used at over 50 companies, such as Circle Logistics, Schneider, and Flexport.
Last week, we reported that HappyRobot raised a $15.6 million Series A, led by the renowned venture capital firm a16z. The firm, co-founded by Marc Andreessen (recently a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast), is known for backing groundbreaking companies.
Today, we explore how HappyRobot is changing the way freight brokers and carriers operate.

Freight damage is frustrating, but managing the claims process doesn't have to be. See how our software can simplify and streamline your freight claims.

HappyRobot is an AI-powered platform designed to automate and enhance communication within the logistics industry.
It’s an AI agent that understands logistics—and sounds shockingly human.
As Pablo explained during our interview, "When dispatchers call in, they don’t even realize they’re talking to AI."

For brokers, HappyRobot acts as an extra set of hands—or twenty, handling calls and repetitive tasks. “The AI doesn’t get distracted. It doesn’t get annoyed. It just works,” said Javier.
Carrier sales reps are especially excited about the platform. As Pablo shared during our interview:
"Carrier sales reps love it because it takes a huge chunk of the repetitive, time-consuming calls off their plates, letting them focus on the more strategic parts of their job."
Their vision goes beyond efficiency. “We want to make the workforce happier,” Javier shared. “Working fewer crazy hours but getting more done.”
Javier encouraged brokers to embrace the technology as a partner. “Learn to work with it,” he said. “It’s a tool to help you achieve more, not replace you.”

Andrew Smith, SVP at Circle Logistics, shared on LinkedIn that partnering with HappyRobot and Transport Pro has "reduced the number of calls handled by people by 80-100% across all use cases."

HappyRobot isn’t just impressive—it’s smart. The team has fine-tuned its voice AI to sound lifelike while mastering logistics-specific jargon.
"We’re building the AI workforce for logistics," says Pablo. "It’s like having a tireless assistant who’s fluent in freight."

Brokers can utilize customizable working capital solutions from OTR Solutions to bridge the gap between carrier and customer pay dates. Beyond the cash flow advantages, utilizing working capital solutions also drives increased revenue due to Quick Pay adoption – as high as 12% when combined with Epay Manager.
OTR Solutions is a trucking technology and freight factoring company that was founded in 2011. In 2024 OTR acquired Epay Manager, a back-office automation and carrier payments platform which is revolutionizing broker back-offices with its proactive invoicing workflow.

As AI becomes more prominent in logistics, HappyRobot is leading the way.
Their tools not only save time but enhance how brokers, carriers, and warehouses work. With their recent $15.6 million Series A funding, the team is set up for even greater growth.
“We’ve always dreamed of building something together,” Javier said.
Now, that dream is becoming a reality—and disrupting the logistics industry in the process.
Almost three weeks ago, we had the opportunity to sit down with Pablo and Javier in Chattanooga, TN, to hear their incredible story and learn what it took to build HappyRobot into what it is today.
During the podcast, Bob Krzuhinskiy, Founder of USA_Transportation, even booked a load live, giving us a firsthand look at how the AI interacts and communicates with carriers.
Out of all The FreightCaviar Podcast episodes, this one had me laughing the most—it’s a must-watch!
