Over the past three years, the trucking industry has lost more than 100,000 drivers due to positive marijuana tests, according to a new study by the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI). The ATRI report highlights the need for a nationally recognized marijuana impairment test and standards in the event of federal legalization, to safeguard employers in safety-sensitive industries.
