Plus, a $40M trucking terminal expansion coming to South Carolina.
Total Quality Logistics (TQL) the second-largest brokerage in the United States, just made a big investment in its employee satisfaction and company culture, which have often been criticized.
The company recently upgraded its Cincinnati headquarters–1,12 ft. long and costing roughly $35 million in total. TQL Product Manager Chris McMahon ran a full marathon in and around the building, which has space for 3,500+ employees.
During his run, he ran past the new facilities like their basketball and pickleball courts, golf simulator, 24/7 gym, full-service cafeteria, 11 mothers’ rooms, and 40+ new meeting spaces.
All in all, there will be some pretty comfortable sales reps in the building.
In more expansion news, TMC Transportation is pouring $40 million into expanding its trucking terminal in Columbia, South Carolina, in a move that will significantly boost its operations in the Southeast region. Here's a quick rundown of this expansion:
Jason Fields, Marketing Director for Montgomery Construction Group, notes:
“This project creates a comprehensive trucking terminal in a campus-style setting for TMC to serve the Southeast region.”
