Nikola Corp Investigates Fire Incident at Phoenix Headquarters

Nikola Corp. suspects "foul play" in a fire that occured at its Phoenix headquarters and affected some of its battery-electric trucks. The fire broke out in the early morning of June 23 behind the company's headquarters. A vehicle was noticed in the vicinity prior to the incident.
An investigation is underway but the company has not divulged how many trucks were affected. The incident follows a week after Nikola announced layoffs of 270 employees (about 23% of its workforce) and a shift to concentrate its electric truck efforts in North America in a bid to conserve cash.
