Traxion expands its US footprint with a $10 million acquisition of BBA Logistics, setting sights on more opportunities in the US market.
Traxion's Strategic Acquisition
Mexico-based transportation firm, Traxion, has acquired Las Vegas-based BBA Logistics for $10 million. The move forms part of Traxion's plan to offer door-to-door cargo brokerage services in the US, in line with increasing freight volumes from Mexico to the US due to nearshoring.
BBA Logistics Joins Traxion
BBA Logistics, an asset-light, cross-border, door-to-door logistics brokerage, is pleased to join Traxion. This partnership will enable BBA to expand its services and enhance its ability to meet client needs. The company offers cross-dock, transloading, storage, and other logistics services, handling over 15,000 annual shipments.
Projected Revenues and Synergies
Traxion expects BBA Logistics to generate approximately $22 million a year in revenue, according to a statement to the Mexican Stock Exchange. Traxion also foresees commercial synergies between BBA Logistics and Traxporta, its digital brokerage app.
Traxion's Continued Expansion
Traxion, one of Mexico’s largest transportation and logistics companies, continues its expansion strategy with this acquisition. The company previously acquired V-Modal, a railway logistics firm, to increase its rail coverage in Mexico and expand its service capabilities to the US and Canada.
